US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Manila yesterday. Today's editorial cartoon in the Philippine Daily Inquirer links that with the release of Fr Michael Sinnott yesterday morning. In his statement yesterday morning (Wednesday evening Irish time), Irish Foreign Minister Mícheál Martin thanked, among other groups, the US government for their help.
That is President Gloria M. Arroyo with Father Sinnott's release as her gift to her visitor.
